A lotus pond at the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, approximately 20km from the center of Hanoi, is one of the most popular places in the city these days, attracting thousands of people daily.
Established in 2019, it is the place for research, development, and protection of genetic resources of this precious flower in Hanoi.
The lotus pond covers an area of 7.5 hectares with more than 60 indigenous lotus species originating from all three regions of the country, namely pink lotus, white lotus, single-petal pink lotus, multi-petal pink lotus, yellow lotus, Dong Thap and West Lake lotus, among others.
