Over its 400-year history, So Communal House has been granted 45 royal edicts, which are rare archival documents issued by 27 kings, starting from the time of Dinh Tien Hoang in 968 to the end of the Nguyen dynasty in 1945. These royal edicts encapsulate spiritual values and patriotic traditions, serving as a source of pride for the local community and their heritage.

The communal house was built in the 17th century.

The artistic decoration of So Communal House is rich and diverse, with carvings of the four sacred animals, the four seasons, unicorns, dragon-horses, guardian lions, turtles, carp, lotuses, and clouds, highlighting the artisans' skill and meticulous craftsmanship.
