October 10, 1954 is an important milestone in the history of construction and development of Hanoi Capital and the country.

The events of the Vietnamese People's Army's march into the capital on October 10, 1954 are re-enacted at the Phung Hung Mural Space in Hanoi's Old Quarter to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day.

An exhibition, titled "Ky uc Ha Noi - 70 nam" ("Memories of Hanoi - 70 years"), depicts the capital during the period of nationwide resistance by the military and citizens, up to the day the capital was liberated.

These activities are aimed at increasing the knowledge of locals and tourists about one of the most important milestones in the nation's history, as well as to further inspire patriotism among the younger generations.

A scene depicting the army marching toward the capital under the red flag with a yellow star, cheered on by the people of Hanoi.

The three-legged bomb represents the unwavering will of the Vietnamese people to save their nation and their willingness to make any sacrifice necessary.

Timeless melodies such as "Nhu co bac Ho trong ngay vui dai thang" ("Like Uncle Ho on the great day of victory") are performed by veterans from Hoan Kiem District.

People and tourists can experience the making of rubber sandals, which were the footwear of Uncle Ho and soldiers during the struggle for independence and sovereignty of the country.

People and tourists witness the archive photos related to the day of the liberation of the capital.

The exhibition attracts many locals and foreign tourists.

The program contributes to the promotion and education of patriotism among the younger generation.

The exhibition will run until October 13.
