The splendid beauty of the trade village in Hanoi’s outskirts tinges Tet with colors.

A week ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet holiday), everywhere in the village of Quang Phu Cau in Ung Hoa District, Hanoi glowed with pink and red colors of incense sticks.

The six villages in Quang Phu Cau Commune  including Xa Cau, Quang Nguyen, Upper Phu Luong, Lower Phu Luong, Cau Bau, Dao Tu have always been famous for incense-making for over one hundred years.

The commune is not only famous for making premium incense for the Tet holiday but also a marvelous tourist attraction in Hanoi.

The places are the major incense supply to the Northern region, providing the main source of income for thousands of local households.

As the Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year festival is around the corner, residents of these famous incense-making villages are busily preparing for the most important holiday of the year.

The whole space turns out to be magically colorful, making it a must-see place for lovers of scenic landscapes.
Visitors to the Quang Phu Cau Commune not only have a chance to learn about the interesting trade village but also take wonderful photoshoots.

To better serve the pleasure of taking photos of tourists, incense makers have arranged bouquets of incense according to the image of Vietnam.

Images of incense sticks arranged evenly on the ground have been captured by talented photographers and helped them win many major photography awards.

Not only vibrant in color, Quang Phu Cau villagers are making major types of incense with different scents, including Tram or canarium albums, some herbs, cinnamon, and anise.

The making of incense sticks includes many steps from chopping bamboo, dipping the sticks in the pink dye, letting them dry outdoor to producing incense paste.
Not only serving the local demand, Quang Phu Cau incense has even been exported to China, India, and Malaysia.
