Only a few vehicles running on Hanoi’s major streets in the social distancing days of April.

Snapshots of empty streets in Hanoi taken from high altitude show the unusual quietness and calm.  

 Few vehicle pass through the usually busy Nguyen Xien street, which is also the city’s Ring Road No.3.
 The deserted four-level intersection where Khuat Duy Tien, Nguyen Trai, and Nguyen Xien streets meet. Only a few vehicles stop at a red light.
 Businesses shuttered at Nga Tu So intersection of Tay Son – Truong Chinh – Nguyen Trai streets.
 The intersection of Pham Hung – Ton That Thuyet streets near the My Dinh bus station, one of the black spots of traffic jam in Hanoi. Some local residents are driving on the road.
 The intersection of Tran Duy Hung – Hoang Minh Giam becomes deserted on the days of nationwide social distancing. Some heavy trucks are transporting construction materials on the street.
 My Dinh inter-provincial bus station is almost empty, only few buses are seen in the parking lot. Passenger transport has been suspended to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
 At the My Dinh stadium, Hanoi completed the construction of Formula 1 racetrack last month. Rows of seats on both sides of the street were dismantled as the sport event was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
