In the face of the serious evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic in the northern province of Bac Giang, the provincial sports arena has been repurposed into Covid-19 makeshift hospital since May 21 with 628 beds which, will be put into operation this week.

Bac Giang has so far confirmed the highest number of infections with 1,520. The contiguous province is home to major foreign invested factories, including those of Samsung, Canon, and Foxconn.
