Noi Bai Airport crowds on first day of National Day holiday
Vietnamese people enjoy four days from September 1 to 4 during the National Day holiday.
On the first day of the four-day National Day holiday, Noi Bai International Airport was busier than usual, with the number of passengers increasing by 20% compared to weekdays.
The airport, one of Vietnam’s largest airports, has made plans to ensure the best services for passengers during the holiday, which started from September 1-4.
According to the Noi Bai International Airport, there were 414 domestic flights to and from the airport in Hanoi, reaching 76,500 passengers, an increase of 20% compared to normal days. |
Noi Bai International Airport has cooperated with local airlines and ground handling companies to closely follow the flight plan to ensure its best service to passengers at peak hours. |

On September 2, it is estimated to have ten domestic peak time frames, including four time frames between 6-7am, 7-8am, 8-9am, and 10-11am, and six ones from 12 to 18pm, of which each time frame has more than 2,000 passengers through the port. |
There are three domestic peak time frames, ranging from 16-17pm, 19-20pm, 20-21pm, each time frame has more than 2,500 passengers through the airport. |
Tran Quynh Nga, a resident from Tay Ho District, Hanoi said: "On the first day of the holiday, I’m afraid of a large number of travelers, so I come to check in two hours before the departure time. However, the number of passengers today is not as crowded as in the Summer and April 30 - May 1. |
