Hanoi’s sparkling moments on social distancing days
Nhat Minh 14:58, 2020/04/17
After two weeks in social distancing, citizens in Hanoi take another stay-at-home week to prevent the propagation of the pandemic.

Hanoi becomes quiet and clean during the social distancing days as local residents minimize outdoor activities and all non-essential services are ceased in accordance with the government’s order to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The streets of the capital city have never been so serene, clean and quiet.
In the leaf changing season, Dinh Tien Hoang street along Hoan Kiem lake is blanketed with fallen leaves.
The puddle left from the rain is like a mirror, reflecting the municipal Opera House.
Hang Bai street, Hoan Kiem district, is empty in an early morning.

People can’t feel the mildly cold weather of Hanoi in the day of social distancing. Stay-at-home is the safest measure for everyone and the community to shield from the pandemic.
Hanoi Opera House and other churches across the country held Easter Mass online as authorities advised against public gatherings.
