This is an annual ritual in remembrance of Vietnamese emperors and talented people who have been of service to the country.

The incense offering ceremony is held on the ninth day of the first month of the Lunar New Year (this year, it falls after Tet) at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

This is a typical Tet ritual of the ancient royal court in the series of Vietnamese Tet activities to welcome Spring 2024, recreated by the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center.

An annual ritual held to commemorate Vietnamese emperors and talented people who have made great contributions to the country, it expresses gratitude for the merits of ancestors and wise monarchs, and honors the traditional values of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

The solemn program features many rituals recreating the traditions of the ancient Thang Long royal court, including the incense offering ceremony, seal opening ceremony, procession, drumming and dragon dancing.

The program opens with a dragon dance performance by artisans from Trieu Khuc Village, depicting the image of dragons and immortals, wishing for good weather and peace.
