Hanoians lay flowers in memory of deceased firefighters

In the past few days, many Hanoians have come to the People's Police Monument to lay flowers in memory of the three firefighters who died in the line of duty to save others.

Many Hanoians have brought bouquets of flowers to lay at the foot of the People's Police Monument on Tran Nhan Tong Street in Hanoi to commemorate three firefighters who lost their lives after saving eight people and attempting to control the fire at a six-storey karaoke lounge in the city’s urban district of Cau Giay.

The trio included Lieutenant Col. Dang Anh Quan, 44; Lieutenant Do Duc Viet, 24; and Private Nguyen Dinh Phuc, 19.

In the past few days, many Hanoians have come to the People's Police Monument to lay flowers in memory of the three firefighters who died in the line of duty to save others.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai, a resident in Cau Giay District laid fresh flowers to commemorate the firefighters.

“I am very sad, the soldiers were so young, their dedication and sacrifice made my heart flutter,” Mai said.

Nguyen Minh Nguyet, who is living in Nguyen Du Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, also brought three bouquets of daisy flowers and placed them at the foot of the monument to commemorate the soldiers.

"We are grateful to them as noble heroes in society. I hope that they are now in a peaceful place,” Nguyet said.

 The three firefighters’ bravery gains people's admiration and respect.
