Hanoi’s streets, places of interest, sightseeing spots, and travel attractions are being refurbished, in anticipation of the influx of foreign tourists.
In the days ensuing March 15 - the day marked a milestone as the country fully opens its doors to international tourism after a two-year hiatus, Hanoi’s urban management forces are extremely busy.
Shop-owner, restaurant managers and residents in Hanoi's Old Quarter Area are asked to clean and adorn their premises, inside and out, ready to serve the most demanding internationals. |

Senior Lieutenant Bui Ngoc Hoang from Police Station of Hang Trong Ward, Hoan Kiem District said that the ward owns quite a few relic sites and tourist attraction such as St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Hoan Kiem pedestrian zones and Ba Da Pagoda, among others. Therefore, to prepare to welcome international tourists, the functional forces have mobilized the people to clean and decorate the sidewalks to meet the criteria of aesthetics and safety for pedestrians. |
