The flowering reed field looks like a white carpet.

These days, a reed bed blankets the Diplomatic Corps urban area in Bac Tu Liem District, creating a poetic and romantic beauty for Hanoi in late spring.

Thousands of tiny reed flowers bloom, turning this place into a “photo-taking paradise” for nature lovers and flower enthusiasts. The beautiful and poetic space of blooming white reeds attracts many young people to take pictures with these plants.

 Reed is a perennial kind of grass that has long-spreading stalk and roots that extend deep into the ground. The leaves are narrow and long with a rough upper surface and smooth bottom. This species of wild grass is native to the Northern and Central regions of Vietnam.
