Hanoi lakes - green for a better life
In the context of aggressive urbanization in Hanoi and increasing greenhouse effect, lakes surrounded by trees are like green "lungs" in the capital city.

Hanoi currently has dozens of artificial and natural lakes which help reduce environmental pollution.

The lakes including Hoan Kiem lake, West lake, Dong Da lake, Giang Vo lake, Nghia Tan lake and others are ideal spaces for local residents to use as a playground for children, exercise and relaxation every day.

In the context of aggressive urbanization in Hanoi and increasing greenhouse effect, lakes surrounded by trees are like green "lungs" in the capital city.

The followings are photos of the lakes and green space in the heart of Hanoi:

The above photo is taken at Thanh Cong lake in the inner district of Dong Da. It is among 125 lakes in Hanoi’s downtown, and some 1,000 lakes in the city’s outskirts.

This is a lake in Cau Giay park. It is one of the five lakes with the most runners every morning and afternoon. In the city, many lakeshores have been upgraded to become beautiful landscapes.

Many lakes have become ideal places for local residents to use as playground for children and do exercise.

Hanoi’s "green lungs" have been revived thanks to the efforts of the municipal government and local residents.

West lake in Tay Ho district, with an area of about 500ha, is the largest natural lake in Hanoi. It is the most famous tourist attractions as well as an iconic place of the capital city.

Hoan Kiem Lake, a fantastic place in the heart of Hanoi, is one of the most attractive destinations in the city.

Trees act like the lungs of the Earth. A healthy green lung will make the environment healthier, reduce pollution.

Planting trees is not only to protect our living environment today, but also to ensure a green life for future generations.

Trees are essential for life and benefit the environment.
