The renown work by Vietnamese great poet Nguyen Du has been adapted to different art genres, but for the first time there is an adaption of Tale of Kieu to ballet which was first performed in HCMC in August 2020.
After choreographing the contemporary dance ‘Con tao xoay’ (inexorable fate) in 2014 and which was widely acclaimed by the public, choreographer Tuyet Minh decided to interpret The Tale of Kieu in ballet language. The show was staged by the Vietnam Association of Dancers. |
