1st grade Vietnamese learning software
A school information technology company has recently published the first Vietnamese learning software in Vietnam. A reporter from the Vietnam Economic Times interviewed Bui Viet Ha, director of the company about this software* Why did the company decide to do this software? As far as I know, in Vietnam, there is no similar Vietnamese learning software for Vietnamese as well as for foreigners. Moreover, many families asked us to do this type of software. So, it can be seen that there is a big demand for this software. In addition, the present Vietnamese learning programme at school is very difficult. In the past, the Vietnamese primary programme needed one year. Now, it has been reduced to only one subject of the first grade. In the present Vietnamese spelling programme, each pupil has to study two syllables each day, continuously for 100 periods. Such a programme is too hard for pupils. Vietnamese is a difficult language. It took us two years to produce this software. * What sources did you use to produce this software? When designing this software, we used all Vietnamese learning textbooks and programmes by the Education Publishing House. The main data includes 173 sounds, 519 pictures and 1,374 key words. All were recorded with a standard Hanoi accent. * What are the main contents of the software? The main content is lessons reproducing Vietnamese according to four directions such as studying letters and writing. * Which computers can be adapted to this software? Who can use this software? This software is adaptable for any computer. Pupils at 5, 6 and 7 years old preparing to study Vietnamese at primary schools can use the software. They can use it to study, review and do exercise at schools and at home. Parents can instruct their children to study. Teachers can explain in the class. Cverseas Vietnamese and foreigners can also use the program. In the near future, we will further develop this software by studying dictation and basic Vietnamese grammar. * Thank you very much!
