The art program The Essence of Ao Dai, which celebrates the Vietnamese traditional long dress in three chapters (Golden History, Interference Bridge, and Spreading Journey), will be the highlight of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024.
Performances on stage will use the Vietnamese Ao dai (long traditional dress) as a metaphor to depict the historical voyage of the capital's liberation over the course of 70 years, from October 10, 1954, until 2024.

The festival will take place from October 4 to 6 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, with the main stage at Doan Mon Square, 19C Hoang Dieu Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
About 80 to 100 booths at Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024 will showcase products from ao dai designers and brands from North, Central, and South Vietnam.
The festival will also feature, among many rich and unique activities, Ao Dai Parade (October 5); Ao Dai Fashion Show; Ao Dai Exhibition; Promotion of Tourism Products and Traditional Craft Villages; and Hanoi Culinary Space.
Notably, the festival will not only honor Vietnamese Ao dai but also focus on promoting capital tourism, where travel routes, services of aviation, accommodation, and destinations will be introduced. Tourists can find many preferential policies that suit their tastes at reasonable prices.
Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024 is organized annually by the Hanoi Department of Tourism in the fall to market Hanoi tourism by combining tourism with fashion, spreading people's love for Ao dai.
In 2023, the festival attracted about 60,000 visitors.
