The Hanoi Party Committee has issued a program, called Program 07, on improving the effectiveness of anti-corruption work in the period of 2016-2020. Every year, the Hanoi People's Committee devises anti-corruption and inspection plans for relevant agencies. With these drastic instructions, the city’s anti-corruption has achieved initial results, Chung stressed.

He also mentioned some solutions and measures applied in Hanoi city to prevent harassment and troubles for people and businesses.

The mayor pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations such as poor sense of discipline, irresponsibility and being unjust among some cadres, civil servants and officials which lead to failure to fulfill their duties.

The city’s leader said that in the time ahead, the Hanoi People's Committee will continue to urge relevant agencies to strictly implement the Vietnamese government's instructions on anti-corruption.

Besides, the city keeps implementing consistent measures to promote administrative reform, strengthen publicity, transparency and application of information technology, Chung added.

The code of conduct for cadres, civil servants and employees must be strictly applied. The role and responsibility of the heads of all levels must be highlighted, the mayor stressed.
