2025 spring book fair opens to boost reading in Hanoi

The 2025 Spring Book Fair promises to establish itself as an annual event that celebrates the importance of books and knowledge.

The 2025 Spring Book Fair has opened at Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, presenting more than 3,000 books on various topics such as economics, politics, literature, art, history, religion, foreign affairs and foreign books.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on January 18,  Pham Tuan Long, Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, affirmed that the Spring Book Fair contributes to creating joyful and exciting cultural activities for the people, honoring the value of reading culture, and developing the reading movement of the people of Hoan Kiem District. It is also a meaningful spring event on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Pham Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Publishers Association, said that with a focus on the value of combining traditional Tet culture with knowledge, the 2025 Spring Book Fair aims to highlight the value of books and knowledge.

It promises to become an annual activity that spreads the beauty of reading culture that people look forward to.

"The Book Fair also honors the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a significant turning point in the nation's history. It has made room for the convergence of the traditional values of the Lunar New Year with the dissemination of the value of knowledge to all strata of society," he said.

In addition to book stalls, the fair also featured handicraft stalls, Tet cuisine, and folk games for children, providing a meaningful entertainment and educational space for all ages.

The Spring Book Fair runs until February 12 at the National Book Center, 24 Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

It's co-organized by the Vietnam Publishing Association, Truth National Political Publishing House, Vietnam Education Publishing House, Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, Tran Hung Dao Ward People's Committee and Vivi Education Solutions Development Joint Stock Company.
