With many iterations over the years, the traditional market continues to hold its own appeal, combining the past and traditional values with the present and modern world.

With over a century of history, the Hang Luoc Tet Flower Market is indelible in Hanoi's identity. More than a marketplace, it is a vibrant cultural space where people gather to enjoy the festive atmosphere of Tet (Lunar New Year).

In the past, families in Hanoi would visit the flower market together to select peach blossoms and kumquat trees for Lunar New Year home decorations. The eager gazes, the children's ringing laughter, and the simple joy of bringing the essence of spring into their homes painted a rustic yet deeply cherished Tet tableau.

Today, despite the hustle and bustle of modern life and the rise of online commerce, the unique charm of the traditional market remains intact. It bridges the past and traditional values with the present and contemporary life.

It is a place where older visitors relive their fond memories and where younger generations experience their nation's rich cultural heritage.

Tet is an occasion for celebration and a time to reflect on the past year, gather with family, and share love and hope. A vibrant branch of peach blossoms, a heavily laden kumquat tree, or a bouquet of fresh flowers symbolize faith and aspirations for a peaceful, happy, and prosperous New Year.

"Organizing the market is both a responsibility and a source of pride for Hoan Kiem District, contributing to promoting cultural values," said Le Anh Thu, Deputy Chairwoman of the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee.

She urged local authorities, businesses, and vendors at the market to adhere to regulations, conduct business in appropriate sectors, and ensure commercial civility, urban order, environmental sanitation, and food safety.

The deputy chairwoman also stressed the importance of maintaining security, preventing fire hazards, managing urban order and traffic, and addressing unauthorized parking and road encroachment to ensure smooth and safe access for visitors and shoppers.
