Hanoi is supervising 1,857 cases returning from epidemic-hit regions at their home or accomodation facilities and isolating 336 for health watch.
Although no Covid-19 infection has been detected in Hanoi, the municipal government still needs to keep implementing disease prevention measures, especially timely detecting suspected cases for isolation and treatment.
On February 14, the Hanoi Department of Foreign Affairs informed departments and the People's Committees of districts on the instruction of the Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which denies entry of foreigners from China into Vietnam.
Non-Chinese foreigners whose time window between leaving China and arriving Vietnam is less than 14 days will not be allowed to enter Vietnam.
Foreigners travelling to Vietnam for diplomatic and official purposes could enter Vietnam after having a medical checkup at the border gates.
The Capital High Command has organized training courses on medical quarantine to get ready for centralized isolation when requested by the Ministry of National Defense.
The Hanoi Department of Health continues to closely monitor passengers arriving at Noi Bai International Airport in order to timely detect suspected cases.

The department has also coordinated with local police to arrange the quarantine areas for Vietnamese citizens coming back from epidemic-striken regions. Currently, the city’s Public Security Hospital is isolating 55 returnees from China.
