According to the Military Medical Department under the Ministry of National Defense, the people in quarantine have their health monitored. They are provided with food and daily amenities such as brushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, medical masks and television for entertainment. After 14 days, the quarantined person with no signs of Covid-19 symptoms are allowed to leave.
General Ngo Xuan Lich, minister of National Defense, asked the Military Medical Department to continue coordinating with civil and military bodies to prevent and control Covid-19 infection and minimize the risk of the epidemic spreading to the army.
Currently, in seven border provinces, border guards have deployed two thousand personnel to 341 checkpoints in an effort to patrol and control the trails and the border areas.
Vietnamese citizens returning from China by road will be sent to barracks near the border. If anybody gets high body temperature and is suspected with Covid-19 infection, he/she will immediately get medical checkup and is isolated at medical centers.
