Hanoi pledges to create favorable conditions for Irish investors

Hanoi always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Irish investors to strengthen cooperation in numerous fields, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen The Hung confirmed while hosting Irish Ambassador to Vietnam Cait Moran on August 5.

Hung said Hanoi is willing to cooperate with Ireland in numerous fields, especially in trade, culture, high-tech agriculture, and smart city building, among others.

Acknowledging Ambassador Moran’s positive contributions to relations between Vietnam and Ireland in general as well as between Hanoi and Ireland's localities in particular during her working term in Vietnam, Hung hoped the diplomat would keep promoting bilateral cooperation and the image of Hanoi city among Irish people.

Besides, Hung said he wants Hanoi and Ireland to hold more exchanges and cultural activities to enhance mutual understanding.

The official also pledged that Irish cultural exchange activities will be maintained and expanded in Hanoi city, and that Hanoi always welcomes Irish citizens to come to the city.

For her part, Ambassador Cait Moran said that the community of approximately 1,000 Irish expatriates in Hanoi has contributed positively to the city, particularly in education.  

Hanoi is becoming one of the most livable cities in the world thanks to the efforts of its leaders and people, Cait Moran said and hoped that in her next position, she will continue to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the city.
