The Community Education Center on Fire Prevention and Rescue is officially launched on May 10 at the Thanh Xuan District Cultural Center, 166 Khuat Duy Tien St, Hanoi, according to the Hanoi Police Department.
The center is open free every Saturday and Sunday (from 8:30 to 11:30 in the morning and from 14:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon).

The Center aims to disseminate legal knowledge and measures to ensure fire safety, fire prevention and rescue, and to provide guidelines on emergency situations, fire escapes at home, housing production and business, high-rise buildings and apartments and crowded places.
In addition to learning knowledge and skills about fire prevention and rescue, people will see models, fire prevention equipment, modern fire engines and rescue vehicles.
Visitors also experience many activities designed to increase awareness and responsibility in fire prevention and suppression. Through hands-on activities, people understand the features and effects of firefighting equipment, such as Virtual reality models of fire prevention and rescue; escape using rope climbers and air mattresses; escape in smoky environments and confined spaces; first aid and evacuation of victims; deployment of fire hoses; use of fire extinguishers, among others.
