Hanoi learns development experiences from Japan’s "miracle village"
Kawakami village is striving to lead Japan’s agricultural production and technology development and is willing to make contributions to Vietnam’s development.
Hanoi expects to learn experiences from Japan’s Kawakami village, which has developed its agriculture in a miraculous way, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said while hosting the village’s chief Fujihara Tadahiko and leaders of Koganei Seiki company in Hanoi on August 20.Chung recalled his visit to the village in June last year and expressed his admiration for the village's achievements, especially the application of many advanced technologies in cultivation and Koganei Seiki company’s advanced engines.

He added that Hanoi’s government has a policy to support foreign investors in training and building houses for workers, along with many incentives for investors about land-rent fee and sale costs, among others.
For his part, Fujihara Tadahiko said he wants to promote cooperation in high-quality agriculture between Kawakami village and Hanoi city.
Kawakami village is striving to lead Japan in agricultural production and technology development and is willing to make contributions to Vietnam’s development, Fujihara Tadahiko said.
Specifically, the two sides can promote agricultural technology transfer and exchange as well as provide training for Vietnamese workers. Kawakami village's chief wished to employ more skilled workers from Vietnam and Hanoi.
He noted that Kawakami village is dubbed Japan’s "miracle village" with outstanding achievements in agricultural development, from a barren land to become a place of high-value vegetables and fruits in Japan.
Fujihara Tadahiko hopes to soon make the "dream" of building a farming village under Kawakami model in Vietnam become reality, and that the two sides would close a cooperation agreement between Kawakami and Hanoi.
In response, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung welcomed the very specific and practical cooperation contents raised by the chief of Kawakami village.
