Hanoi is calling for investment in 11 projects in the agricultural sector, mainly high-tech farming projects and concentrated cattle slaughterhouses until 2025.

The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has recently made a portfolio of 11 agricultural production and processing projects which are either operational, to be deployed or under proposal, and submitted a list of 11 projects subject for direct investment in the 2019 – 2025 period.
Of the 11 projects, there are high-tech agricultural projects in An Thuong and Song Phuong communes in Hoai Duc district in an area of 668 ha and expected investment of VND1 trillion (US$42.9 million); another similar project in Hien Ninh commune, Soc Son district in 120 ha worth VND350 billion (US$15 million); another high-tech agriculture project in Thanh Xuan and Tan Dan communes, Soc Son district, in an area of 70 ha with an investment of VND150 billion (US$6.4 million).
The list also includes a project on agro-ecotourism Hiep Thuan commune, Phuc Tho district, with a scale of 200 ha and estimated investment of VND1.3 trillion (US$55.8 million).
The department also proposed a project of concentrated cattle slaughtering facilities of Quang Lang and Tri Thuy communes, Phu Xuyen district with the scale of 2.74 ha and expected investment of VND350 billion (US$15 million); two projects in Tri Lai hamlet, Dong Thai commune, Ba Vi district and in Trach My Loc commune, Phuc Tho district with a scale of 4 ha and an investment of VND350 billion (US$15 million) each.
Other high-tech farming projects expecting investment are the one in Kim Son commune, Son Tay town, covering an area of 80 ha and worth VND1.3 trillion (US$55.8 million); another one in Ba Vi district with a scale of 300ha and worth VND100 billion (US$4.3 million); a similar project in the Day river, Dong Thap commune, Dan Phuong district with a scale of 23.3 ha and estimated investment of VND1 trillion (US$42.9 million).
The city’s authorities will speed up the review, and propose mechanisms and policies improvements to encourage the participation of many sectors in the high-tech agriculture in the future.
