Foreign visitors enjoy memorable experiences by preparing healthy Vietnamese dishes.

Australian traveler Becclar and her boyfriend had a wonderful trip to Vietnam. After discovering the ancient beauty of Hanoi, they moved to HCM City and tried their hand at cooking Vietnamese delicacies.

On the last day of their Vietnam holiday, they took the afternoon cooking class at M.O.M Cooking Class and it was definitely a highlight of the whole trip, they said.

They had a great experience learning how to make Vietnamese salad and spring rolls.

Fantastic experience

According to Becclar, there were 11 learners in the class, but they still had a personal experience.

"The chef who guided us was very easy to understand and a very good teacher. He gave us some background on the dishes and ingredients and suggested alternatives when we got home. We were sent the menu when we booked, so we knew what we were cooking. I have seen other courses that offer to tailor the menu, which would be great - but the dishes we made were beautiful, and I would never have thought of trying them," Becclar reviewed on TripAdvisor.

For David D from Australia, this is a very well-structured cookery course focusing on small groups and individuals.

David joined the class in the morning so he could visit a local market and get excellent explanations of the ingredients before returning to class.

"It is a casual and intimate introduction to some great dishes to cook. Although hands-on, they are always willing to help with the preparation of the dishes. I got a lot out of the course and a bonus is that they give you the recipes for the dishes you cook, plus recommended alternatives for some of the produce that might be difficult to get at home," he said.

Promoting Vietnamese cuisine

Since 2017, founders Le Hoa and Trong Nghia have been dedicated to sharing Vietnamese culture with people around the world through the beauty of its cuisine.

"We have a team of professional, energetic, and competent instructors to create a fun and lively atmosphere where participants can learn, laugh, and indulge in the vibrant flavors of Vietnam. Through our cooking classes, culinary team building, and corporate events, we aim to bring joy and create memorable experiences by teaching them how to prepare healthy Vietnamese cuisine, and we hope that this cycle of happiness can grow and spread further," said Hoa.

In 2020, M.O.M Cooking Class developed classes with a new look, featuring bold Vietnamese characteristics in decoration, food curriculum, and recipes.

In seven years, M.O.M Cooking Class has attracted 20,000 foreign visitors from all over the world, most of them from South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the US, and European countries.

The foreign students go to the market to buy the ingredients on their own.

To date, the company has achieved the title of Top 1 Cooking Class on KLook in 2017, 2018, and 2020, a 5-star Prestigious Address on Google, and three years of Excellent Certificate on Tripadvisor.

In May 2024, M.O.M Cooking Class was selected to accompany the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center in the Roadshow 2024 program in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.

On June 21, M.O.M Cooking Class has a new location at 119/2 Yersin Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

In the near future, classes will be opened in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and Hoi An (Quang Nam Province), as well as other cities and provinces.
