World Windsurfing Championship to take place in Hoi An
A world windsurfing tournament will be held in Hội An on June 12-15.
Nearly 100 competitors from 30 countries and territories will race in the World Windsurfing Championship at An Bang beach in Hoi An city, the central province of Quang Nam from June 12 to 15.

According to Nguyen Hai Duong, head of the canoeing section of the National Sports Administration, it’s the first time a world-level windsurfing race has been held in Vietnam.
On the same occasion, the Vietnam Open Sailing Boat and the National Canoeing Clubs Championship will take place at Phu Ninh Lake.
Director of the provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department Dinh Hai said An Bang beach, 5km from Hoi An city, is an ideal rendezvous for the beach season and beach sport activities.
The Windsurfing World Championships is an international sailing competition organized by the ISAF (International Sailing Federation), held since 1980, now annually.
