The 24th "World Children's Day Festival" offered fun and educational experiences for children in Vietnam.

The 24th "World Children's Day Festival, held from May 31 to June 2 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, and the Me Linh District People's Committee, combined education and entertainment for young people.

The event combined festive activities with lessons about history, culture, and environmental responsibility.

Aimed at educating children about society and history through a variety of activities, the festival included festive celebrations, cultural and artistic performances, and engaging hands-on games. The event also coincided with several important occasions: International Children's Day (June 1), Month of Action for Children (June), and a lead-up to the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10).

Families were particularly drawn to the festival's emphasis on positive values. Children participated in fun activities that encouraged teamwork and family bonding. A unique highlight was the "Green" market, featuring toys, accessories, and decorations made from recycled materials. This instilled the importance of recycling and reducing waste in young minds.

Huong, a teacher at Thach Da A Primary School, praised the event's ability to combine entertainment with education. "The children can play while also learning how to protect nature," she said. "I believe these activities will help them understand their responsibility for the country's future."

The young attendees were equally enthusiastic about the creative activities and the environmental message they conveyed.

Patriotism was also a theme, with the "Uncle Ho with Children" photo exhibition showcasing 70 heartwarming images of Uncle Ho with children. These pictures depicted his affection, care, and guidance, and served as invaluable treasures for future generations.

The exhibition area also featured the winning entries from the 2024 Children's Stamp Collection and Research Competition, themed "70 Years of the Historic Dien Bien Phu Victory through Postage Stamps." This exhibit was designed to enhance the children's understanding of Vietnam's glorious history and the bravery displayed during the resistance war against French colonialism, culminating in the historic victory at Dien Bien Phu.

The festive atmosphere was livened up by renowned artists such as Xuan Bac and Tu Long, beauty queens, models, child singers, fashion designer Ngo Nhat Huy, and performers from the Vietnam Circus Federation.

The 24th "World Children's Day Festival" provided children with valuable play time, entertainment, and precious lessons about history, culture, and the environment. This impactful event serves as a model for educating the young generation of Vietnam and shaping them into responsible citizens.
