The delegation includes 700 athletes, 38 team leaders, 190 coaches, 10 experts, 64 doctors, and officials following a decision signed by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung.
With a target of 90-120 gold medals, the Vietnamese contingent is scheduled to leave for Cambodia at the end of April after the official departure ceremony to be held in Hanoi on April 19.
The 32nd SEA Games themed "Sport: Live in Peace" will open in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, attended by sports delegations of Southeast Asian nations.
Vietnamese athletes will compete in various sports at the SEA Games 32, including athletics, water sports (swimming and diving), weightlifting, gymnastics, dance, cycling, karate, judo, taekwondo, wushu, pencak silat, fencing, group martial arts (jujitsu, kickboxing, arnis, kun khmer, and vovinam), wrestling, boxing, kun botakor, modern sports (triathlon and duathlon), football (men's and women's), table tennis, badminton, volleyball (beach and indoor), basketball, golf, tennis, kick volleyball, petanque, billiards and snooker, sailing, Chinese chess and Cambodian chess (ouk chatrang), and e-sports. |
