Vietnam Pavilion showcases outstanding products at Canton Fair 2024

The Vietnam Pavilion at Canton Fair 2024, held in Guangzhou from October 30 to November 4, showcases agricultural products from 10 major enterprises. With a 90-square-meter design highlighting Vietnamese culture, the pavilion showcases products such as durian, coconut water, coffee and cashews, attracting considerable attention. Vietnamese companies are also exploring partnerships and brand promotion through various trade activities.

Military Museum free admission for the public

The Vietnam Military History Museum, which opened free to the public from November 1 to December 2024 in Hanoi, covers an area of 386,600 square meters with four floors and a basement. It houses over 150,000 artifacts, including four national treasures, and features modern displays with 3D mapping, QR codes, and audio guides, attracting thousands of visitors.

Ca Mau's Phan Ngoc Hien Square project highlights shrimp industry

The Phan Ngoc Hien Square project in Ca Mau covers 7.59 hectares with a total investment of over US$9.6 million. A key feature is the Ca Mau Shrimp Monument, which celebrates the province's seafood industry. Expected to be completed by August 2025, the project aims to improve infrastructure, provide event space and promote local tourism development.

US exempts Vietnamese aluminum from anti-dumping duties

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled on October 30 that no anti-dumping or countervailing duties will be imposed on Vietnamese aluminum extrusions, finding no injury to the US industry. This decision follows the US. Department of Commerce's investigation of aluminum imports from 15 regions, including Vietnam, that were previously suspected of dumping or subsidization.

Sa Pa promotes tourism with stone lotus displays

The Stone Lotus Festival in Sa Pa is now underway until December 30, marking a key event in Lao Cai's tourism season. The festival features more than 50 varieties of succulents, art exhibitions and cultural performances. Visitors can enjoy up to 50% discounts from 100 local businesses, promoting lively experiences amidst Sa Pa's scenic mountain landscapes.

Xelex expands Vietnamese technology into US schools

Vietnam's Xelex launched its Latimer line of laptops and tablets in Maryland, US, on October 30, aiming to integrate AI technology and expand into US education. The Latimer line, a joint US-Vietnam product, features advanced security and will be introduced in Maryland schools, representing Vietnam's growing tech presence in the American market.
