Vietnamese consumers enjoy Korean cuisine in Hanoi

Vietnamese consumers can enjoy Korean cuisine and agricultural products at the K-Food Festival 2023 at Vincom Royal City in Hanoi last weekend. The event was jointly organized by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp.

The festival featured a variety of food and beverage booths, including fresh produce and imported processed foods, divided into different zones such as Korean beverages, snacks, baby food, fruits, peppers, and ginseng and mushrooms. K-Food activities are among The Korean Government's efforts to win the love of local consumers.

Talented Artists recognized in traditional instrumental solo and ensemble competition

The 2023 National Traditional Instrumental Solo and Ensemble Contest concluded on June 26 in the northern province of Hoa Binh.

The 11-day competition, held in the southern province of Khanh Hoa from June 10-14 and in the northern province of Hoa Binh from June 20-26, attracted nearly 1,500 performers from 39 troupes nationwide. The organizers awarded two excellent prizes for outstanding orchestral conductors and principal musicians, 30 first prizes, 51 second prizes, and 12 third prizes to artists with high-quality performances. This competition aims to promote and preserve Vietnam's traditional musical heritage and encourage the development of talented artists in the field.

U Minh Ha National Park designated for ecotourism by 2030

Over 1,300 hectares of U Minh Ha National Park in the southernmost province of Ca Mau will be developed into an ecotourism, leisure, and entertainment site by 2030, according to the latest plan by the provincial People's Committee. The project will be located in Vo Doi Hamlet, Tran Hoi Commune, Tran Van Thoi District and divided into six functional zones.

The plan aims to promote sustainable tourism while preserving the forest ecosystem and biodiversity of the region, protecting the environment, and maintaining a harmonious interaction between tourism development and the conservation of natural resources. The park is expected to receive 203,000 visitors and generate VND295 billion (US$8.7 million) in 2025.

KOICA assists Vietnam in promoting social integration skills for the disabled

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) held a ceremony on June 26 to hand over charity gifts worth US$11,400 to the social enterprise Nghi Luc Song (Will to Live) Company.

The activity is part of a project to support young people with disabilities to improve their economic independence, provide vocational training in artificial intelligence, and enhance the information technology skills and job-seeking abilities of people with disabilities.

Vietnam approves UXO consequence action program for 2023-2025

 

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has approved a national action program for 2023-2025 to deal with the consequences of unexploded ordnance (UXO) left by war.

The program aims to promote dissemination activities to raise people's awareness of mine accidents and help UXO victims reintegrate into the community, as well as Vietnamese laws, international treaties, and agreements signed by the country.
