Vietnamese netizens create a Vietnam image on Reddit

Vietnamese netizens, led by streamer Phung Thanh Do, introduced an image of Vietnam to the public with the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagos from about 80,000 pixels on July 25. The country is highlighted by a yellow star, representing the national flag, and a bronze drum, representing Vietnamese culture, in the background. The image is posted on the R/Place event page of the global social network Reddit.
UNESCO Center for the Conservation of Vietnam's Art and Cultural Heritage Inaugurated
The UNESCO Center for Conservation of Vietnam's Fine Art & Cultural Heritage has opened at 18E Cong Hoa, Ward 4, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
Established by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations, the center aims to connect artists, collectors, art critics, museums, cultural units, and heritage sites in Vietnam and abroad. It plays a cooperative development role with relevant units and individuals in social projects in art, culture, heritage and conservation.

Books on President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam are on display at the Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam Library and listed on the Internet, the cultural, non-political and non-profit association INTRA said at a meeting with State President Vo Van Thuong in Italy on July 25.
The association set up the library in cooperation with the city of Todi in central Italy to promote the image of the country and the Vietnamese people in Italy and Europe. There are about 5,000 Vietnamese living in Italy.
Day-Ninh Co Canal goes into operation
The $100 million canal connecting the Day and Ninh Co rivers in the northern province of Nam Dinh will be put into operation on July 25. This is the largest canal in the northern region and is expected to cut the travel time of ships from the northern province of Nam Dinh to ports in the northern provinces of Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh and the city of Haiphong by 20%, thus reducing logistics costs and benefiting the people of the Red River Delta.
V-League to use VAR for first time
Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be used for the first time in Vietnam on the 16th match day of the V-League 2023, when Viettel plays Ha Tinh on July 27. World football's governing body, FIFA, will assist local referees in using VAR during the first few matches and evaluate the use of VAR in Vietnam for three years. Some 18 Vietnamese referees have been trained and certified by FIFA to use VAR since the beginning of the year. The system was used for the first time at the 2018 FIFA Men's World Cup.
Vietnam women's volleyball team ready for international challenge
Vietnam's national volleyball team has arrived in France for the FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup 2023. The team will have one day of training before taking on France in the tournament on July 27 at 22:00 (Hanoi time). The FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup features eight teams, including host nations France, Vietnam, Colombia, Sweden, Ukraine, Mexico and Croatia. Vietnam is ranked 47th globally, the lowest of the eight teams.
