Vietnam highly appreciates UK's initiative of supporting business start-ups
Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Tan Dung received Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in Hanoi on November 13 during his working visit in Vietnam.
At the meeting, PM Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed and hailed the outcomes of discussions on the initiative between the Prince and the Ministry of Planning and Investment in assisting start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam.
The PM trusted the initiative will soon become a reality, contributing to further reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
PM Dung affirmed that Vietnam attaches the importance to practical and effective cooperation with the UK in various fields, especially in economy, trade and investment.
The successful implementation of this initiative as well as the business connection between the two countries will contribute to enhancing bilateral trade and investment, he sated.
The Prime Minister also committed all possible support to start-ups and SMEs along the way.
Prince Andrew said he did and will have further discussions with relevant Vietnamese agencies and the two countries’ business communities to outline an action plan to realise the idea next year.
The Prince pledged to help Vietnam build a model of connecting and supporting business start-ups to do business successfully in the global business environment, thereby devising policies and laws appropriate to Vietnam’s conditions.
Prince Andrew vowed to do his best to make his initiative come true and seek new ideas and opportunities to strenghthen the bilateral strategic partnership on all fronts.
