This year's fair will contribute to the promotion of trade and the expansion of typical regional products, especially agricultural and food products that meet export standards.

The Vietnam Regional Specialties Fair, which is currently taking place at the Vincom Mega Mall in Hanoi's Royal City, is attracting visitors with an array of regional delicacies.

Running from November 20 to November 24, the fair attracts nearly 300 booths in an area of around 4,500 square meters, reflecting the distinctive features of various regions of the country.

"I can experience a great variety of typical specialties from different regions nationwide, especially agricultural products, on display at this year's Regional Specialties Fair," Pham Nhu Ba, a visitor from Thanh Xuan District, told the Hanoi Times.

"I think the fair will increase consumers' awareness and confidence in the quality and brand of Vietnamese products, in response to the campaign 'Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods'," Ba said.

Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA), said the fair has been constantly innovating to become a prestigious trade promotion event, attracting the participation of many provinces and cities across the country.

"The event serves as a bridge to connect business and production units with supermarkets, importers, distribution networks, trading centers and customers," he said.

He stressed that this year's fair will contribute to the promotion of trade and the expansion of typical regional products, especially agricultural and food products that meet export standards.

In addition, the fair will offer consulting sessions to improve competitiveness, product design and packaging quality, Duong said.

This will enable them to learn about products, production capabilities and supply potential, leading to the expansion of procurement channels and the negotiation of cooperation agreements and supply contracts, he added.

In particular, the organizers will coordinate with international distributors in Vietnam such as AEON, Central Group, Lotte, and BRGmart, as well as domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms to select qualified products for export and overseas distribution, the HPA director said.

"Held annually in Hanoi, the Vietnam Regional Specialties Fair aims to strengthen the link between manufacturing companies and both domestic and international distributors, moving towards a sustainable supply chain in both domestic and export markets," Duong told the Hanoi Times.
