Vietnam and Mongolia to promote cooperation in numerous fields
Vietnam and Mongolia will enhance cooperation in UN peacekeeping missions.
Mongolia is always committed to strengthening its relations with Vietnam, promoting cooperation in the fields of agriculture, education, defense, law enforcement, among others.
State Secretary of Mongolia Ministry of Foreign Affairs Davaauren Damdinsuren made the statement at the ceremony to commemorate the 64th anniversary of Vietnam-Mongolia diplomatic relations (November 17, 1954-2018), held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar.
Davaauren Damdinsuren affirmed Vietnam and Mongolia always promote their traditional relationship which has been further strengthened through senior leaders of the two countries’ regular visits, adding that “Vietnam will become a modern country, a powerful nation”.
For her part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong reviewed the milestone of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia over the past 64 years.
Vietnam wishes to keep promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation with Mongolia in the fields of mutual interests for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world, Huong said.
The two countries have intensified experience exchange FDI attraction and cross border trade development, driven up trade exchange of farm produce, oil and pharmaceuticals. Vietnam and Mongolia will also enhance cooperation in UN peacekeeping missions, Huong added.
In 2019 when the two nations celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and Mongolia will work together to organize numerous activities to observe this event, Huong stressed.
"The anniversary is not only the chance to review the history of Vietnam-Mongolia relations, but also the chance to assert the realization of the commitments that the two governments have signed. On this occasion, we want to introduce and promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people," Ambassador Doan Thi Huong said.
