National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced that it has operated more than 2,600 punctual flights with on-time performance (OTP) reaching over 90%, 3% higher than scheduled.

Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific ensure punctuality amid increased demand for Tet.
Jetstar Pacific operated a total of 156 flights from Tan San Nhat International Airport from Saturday to Tuesday and the average delay was only 29 minutes due to bad weather in Hue, Vinh, and Dong Hoi airports.
The number of passengers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) has increased sharply, particularly in Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai and Da Nang airports. At Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports, Vietnam Airlines served more than 65,000 passengers a day at peak time.
Meanwhile, Jetstar Pacific served an average of 7,500 passengers a day from the south to the north. Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific have achieved impressive punctuality by planning contingency, increasing human resources, strictly reviewing passengers' service, and minimizing delays.
Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific announced a further addition of 7 flights (equivalent to nearly 1,300 seats) between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in the period prior to the Lunar New Year from February 12 to 14.
Since all resources have been mobilized as planned to serve the peak of the Tet holidays, Vietnam Airlines, through a flexible operating solution, has  increased aircraft maintenance at night, optimized work schedules of the pilots and flight attendants, and mobilized reserve forces to serve Tet.
By increasing their flights during rush hour for the Tet holidays, Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific not only satisfy people’s wish to come home for Tet, but also demonstrate their capacity and their lead role and responsibility as the national airlines.
