Touching Hanoi's memories with concert 'Phu Quang - Love Remains'
Ngo Minh 07:12, 2024/10/05
Dedicated to the memory of composer Phu Quang, the man behind the romantic and exquisite image of Hanoi, two music nights will feature special song presentations.

Since his first song about Hanoi, Em oi! Ha Noi Pho (My Dear! Hanoi Street), composer Phu Quang has written so much about Hanoi that critics have concluded that there is a genre of Hanoi music named after Phu Quang.

The two Phu Quang - Love Remains concerts at the Hanoi Opera House on October 25 and 26 at 8 pm will give audiences an additional insight into the musician's work during Hanoi's autumn season.

Musician Giang Son will be the music director for the two music nights. Chu Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Opera House, will be the stage director, and musician Luu Ha An will be the music arranger.

The program will feature People's Artist Tan Minh, singers Ho Quynh Huong, Khanh Linh, Hoang Hai, and the OPlus Band. Each artist will perform 3-4 songs written by Phu Quang.

Musician Giang Son said that from the legacy of more than 100 famous songs by Phu Quang, she chose the songs that create the lyrical, romantic, luxurious, and beautiful music for the program.

We chose the theme "Love Remains," which is love for people, love for couples, and love for Hanoi. The songs are all arranged in a new way to create emotions for both the singers and the audience," said musician Giang Son.

The program is jointly organized by Phieu Du Show, Viettel Media, and the Hanoi Opera House.

The two concerts are included in the program "Hanoi - Touching the Memory Land", a gift to Hanoians and an opportunity for visitors to better understand Hanoi with historical nostalgia on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital (October 10, 1954-2024).

Accordingly, the organizing committee will recreate the space of Hanoi during the subsidy period at the Music Garden, and Hanoi Opera House, with the street scene, clanking tram cars, and household appliances that are no longer seen in today's life.

The program will be officially launched on October 5 and will last until October 31. The tickets for the program's series of activities will simulate subsidy ration stamps.

Hanoi Opera House will recreate the life of Hanoi in the early 20th century.

According to Chu Anh Hung, the organizer hopes that through the creative and dedicated arrangements of the team with a burning love for Hanoi, each visitor will touch the old memories with the present existence.
