Thomas Anders of Modern Talking to perform in Vietnam on November 26

Modern Talking, a famous German pop band from the 80s, with singer-composer-producer Thomas Anders will sing You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul in Vietnam.

The performance is being brought to Hanoi by the IB Group, the producer of concert featuring Boney M and Chris Norman held on October 1.
The one-night concert, which will take plce at My Dinh National Convention Hall, will make the best chance for Vietnamese fans to enjoy all the band’s hits.
Established in 1984, Modern Talking became one of the most famous pop bands in Germany and Europe in the 1980s.
The band’s two members, Anders and Dieter Bohlen, became immensely popular in early 1985 with their first single, You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul, which reigned the Top 10 in 35 countries.
The track was followed by another hit, You Can Win If You Want, which was released in mid-1985 from their debut album The 1st Album. It was certified as a Platinum album in Germany for selling over 500,000 copies.
More hits followed, including Cheri, Cheri Lady, and Brother Louie, and Modern Talking became an international sensation.

The duo split up a few years later, in 1987, and reunited more than a decade later, in the beginning of 1998, to considerable success.
Their comeback album Back for Good, which had four new tracks and all of their previous hits remixed with modern techniques, stayed at the No.1 spot in Germany for five consecutive weeks and topped the charts in 15 countries.
Three million albums were sold in Europe, winning the duo the Best Selling German Band honour at the World Music Awards the same year. The next album Alone also shot up to the top of the charts in Germany; more than one million copies were sold in Europe alone. Modern Talking has sold 120 million copies worldwide, more than the famous German rock band - Scorpions, becoming the most successful German band in history.
