Season 3 of Vietnam’s Got Talent 2014 kicks off
Participants will take part in five rounds of the contest which will return nationwide next month.
The winner of the third edition of Vietnam’s Got Talent 2014 will pocket VND500 million. The contest will mark its return with auditions nationwide next month. Participants in the program will be challenged in five rounds with more difficult levels, including national qualification, stage qualification, semifinal and final gala.
The contest this time is different from previous ones in that it is open for contestants of all ages and genders nationwide, either as an individual or as a group, to sing, dance, and perform magic show, comedy or anything that contestants wish to perform on stage. The program is expected to be on air in the middle of September.
Previously, child dance duo Nguyen Dang Quan and Tran Bao Ngoc from Hanoi and young lawyer/self-taught singer Tran Huu Kien from the central province of Thanh Hoa were named winners in the first and second editions in 2011 and 2012.
Vietnam’s Got Talent, a well-known TV talent search contest, was created by Simon Cowell. It debuted in June 2006 in the U.S. under the title America’s Got Talent and became the No. 1 entertainment show of NBC. The program has been franchised in 56 countries.
