Savor flavors of Australia in the heart of Hanoi
Huy Hoang 23:54, 2024/10/17
Diners in Vietnam can enjoy genuine Australian flavors created from Oceania ingredients expertly prepared by Vietnamese chefs in a refined fusion of cultures.
Visitors to the Taste of Australia’s Big BBQ, hosted by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam on the evening of October 17 at the UNESCO-recognized Thang Long Imperial Citadel, were treated to a vibrant experience beyond just food.

They immersed themselves in the rich culture and enjoyed the festive atmosphere alongside their close friends.

The event was especially captivating because it took place on the fifteenth day of the Lunar month when the moon shone full and bright over the ancient citadel. This backdrop created a beautiful blend of Australian and Vietnamese cultures, as highlighted by Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski.

Guests were friends of Australia and those associated with the country. Coming to the party, all have the same feeling of being treated well by Australian hosts and Vietnamese chefs who understand the nature of food and convey the message of friendship in each dish.

A large number of Australian cuisine booths on display featured wines, grilled meats, desserts, and fruits. Art performances were also included at the grand party.

The informal party contributed to promoting Australian culinary culture in Vietnam, while also showcasing one of Vietnam’s important historical sites, strengthening the bilateral friendship between the two nations.
