Sa Pa Autumn Festival 2018 waves tourists with numerous activities

The Sa Pa Autumn Festival is annually organized to attract tourists to Lao Cai province and Sa Pa.
The Sa Pa district People's Committee officially kicked off the Sa Pa Autumn Festival 2018 on September 1 evening, with numerous interesting activities in the pipeline.

The festival offers many cultural and sporting activities which are special and attractive to tourists, such as northwest food festival, cloud festival, "Sa Pa - land and people" photo exhibition, street performances and re-expression of ethnic cultural activities, season day on Sa Pa terrain, the crossing mountain international marathon, the full moon festival and so on. 

At the opening ceremony of Sa Pa Autumn Festival 2018, the Lao Cai Folk Arts Union showed a special performance named "Yellow autumn in Sa Pa". The performance highlighted the cultural identity of Lao Cai and Sapa ethnic groups, attracted thousands of visitors.

In addition, the Sa Pa district People's Committee displayed many beautiful brocade products, attracting thousands of visitors to shop on the walking streets in the town.

Sa Pa Autumn Festival is an important tourist event of the year in Sa Pa district, with cultural and artistic activities to promote cultural values and contribute to Sa Pa's socio-economic development. The festival will run until the end of September.

Sa Pa National Park is famous for many tourist attractions such as Ham Rong Mountain, Silver Waterfall, terraced fields and Mount Fansipan, the report added.

According to the Sa Pa district People's Committee, said that in the first six months of 2018, Sa Pa welcomed over 1.6 million turns of tourists, turnover of tourism and services reached over VND2,000 billion (US$86 million).
