Regarding the bilateral ties, the two PMs agreed to maintain the exchange of delegations at all levels and support each other at international forums.

Both sides agreed to make joint efforts to contribute to peace and cooperation on both regional and international scales on the basis of respecting international law. They expressed pleasure at the effective operation of Movitel, a joint venture between Vietnam’s military-run telecom group Viettel and Mozambique’s investment company SPI.

The Mozambican side expects Viettel and other Vietnamese investors to expand investment in other fields like oil and gas, maritime transport, agriculture and aquaculture processing in a bid to realize trade and investment goals set by the two countries’ leaders.

Meanwhile, Vietnam pledged to share more development experience with Mozambique in the areas of natural disaster prevention, weather forecast, climate change adaptation, education and training, and security and defense.

After their talks, the pair witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in protection and preservation of wild flora and fauna and the initialing of an agreement on air transport.
