The sixth biannual Da Lat Flower Festival, themed “Da Lat - A Multitude of Flower Colours” (Da Lat – Muon Sac Mau Hoa) kicked off in Da Lat city`s Lam Vien (Langbiang) square in Lam Dong province on December 29.
Attending the opening ceremony was Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu.

The festival also creates a great opportunity for Da Lat to introduce and promote the city's hi-tech agricultural products such as vegetables, teas, coffee, mulberry, medicinal and nearly 20 brands of agricultural products, he added.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu said that the festival becomes a national cultural event, which is very popular among foreign visitors.

The five-day festival features miniature flower gardens at Xuan Huong lake, Le Dai Hanh street, Ong Dai bridge and tourism destinations, which were organised by the Da Lat Flower Association.
For the first time in the festival's history, the organisers will hold a gala night for local flower raisers at Lam Vien Square on January 1, 2016, which is dedicated to individuals and agencies involved in developing the local flower industry.
