The 26th Vietnam International Medical, Hospital and Pharmaceutical Exhibition (Vietnam Medi-pharm Expo 2019) opened in the capital city of Hanoi on December 5, with the participation of 180 enterprises from 18 countries and territories, local media reported.
The event was jointly held by the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Companies Association and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In an exhibition area of 7,500 square meters, the expo gathers 220 booths featuring modern medical equipment, high-quality pharmaceuticals, and diverse health care products.
Besides domestic exhibitors, Vietnam Medi-pharm Expo 2019 welcomed big international names such as Tania (Japan); Apaxel, Mas, K-Beauty Katecare, Bio Health Doctor (South Korea); Sole Pharma (Lavita); Biofaktor (Poland); Meditek (Russia); Corena (Turkey), Borimed (Belarus), Mexpo (the US), Zdorovye (Ukraine), among others.
The products on display at the expo include advanced pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, food processing and packaging machinery, hospital services and medical tourism, beauty care and aesthetics, dental and ophthalmic products, medical and laboratory equipment and chemicals in 220 booths.
Through the expo, the Ministry of Health aims at creating a business-matching venue for enterprises.
This is also an opportunity for organizations and businesses to promote products, exchange experiences, seize investment opportunities, expand markets, and promote cooperation with a view to enhance effectiveness of medical examination and treatment.
“Vietnam Medi-pharm Expo 2019 is an important trade promotion channel for Vietnamese and foreign enterprises in the medical and pharmaceutical area to meet, exchange and learn from each other. The event also helps attract investment to the Vietnamese market while creating opportunities for Vietnamese firms to seek partners and expand markets to countries in the region and the world,” said Nguyen Dinh Anh, head of the Emulation and Commendation Department under the Ministry of Health.
A number of seminars and business matching programs will be included within the expo which runs until December 7.
