My Tam wins Big Apple Music Award

Pop star My Tam has won the Best Selling Artist of Asia award on the official Facebook page of the Big Apple Music Awards (BAMA).
My Tam is one of the biggest stars in Vietnam pop music.
Tam began in 1999 as a singer and songwriter. She plays guitar, piano, the organ and is a dancer. In 2012, she became the first Vietnamese to win Best Asian Artist at the annual Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) in the Republic of Korea.

Last year Tam won the World Music Award for "Best selling artists from each major territory" along with 25 international artists.
The Big Apple Music Awards is an annual event started in 2004 to recognise music from Central Asia, the Caucasus's and the Middle East.
The BAMA Foundation is a nonprofit organisation of recording artists, creators, professionals and technicians around the globe. They post a list of nominees on the web and call for votes from the internet users.
The 2015 awards will be given on September 12.
