The PMs said that the friendship and unity among Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia would stay strong and develop comprehensively despite global and regional uncertainties.

They said each of the three nations must develop a self-reliant, resilient economy that integrates into the global community.

The prime ministers agreed that Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia would prioritize the effective connection of their economies in the Indochina peninsula.

Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh discussed regional and global issues and congratulated Cambodia on successfully chairing ASEAN in 2022.

For his part, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked Vietnam's support, which helped the Cambodian government fulfill the tasks of the ASEAN 2022 chairmanship.

The meeting of the three prime ministers was held on the sidelines of the ASEAN-EU Summit.

This was also the first meeting of the three prime ministers since the Covid-19 pandemic was under control.
