Van Mai Huong and Ho Trung Dung have won the Most Favourite Female and Male Singer awards respectively for the second consecutive time at this year`s HCM City Television Awards.
More than 12,500 fans voted for Huong. "The highest number of votes which I received proves that the audience always follows me," she said in tears, after winning the award on Saturday night, adding that she would keep going in her career to avoid disappointing her fans.
The 20-year-old singer was the runner-up at the second season of Viet Nam Idol in 2010. A year later, her first solo Neu Nhu Anh Den (If You Come), a pop song with sweet lyrics about love, became a hit among the youth.
Last year, she became the youngest artist to receive the HTV Award.
