Hong Anh, Van Trang win best actress awards

Vietnamese actresses, Hong Anh and Van Trang, have been presented best actress awards at the Vietnam Film Festival in France held in Saint-Malo from July 1-6.
Van Trang was selected for her brilliant performance in the film Bí mật thảm đỏ (Scandal of red carpet). Hong Anh won for her highly acclaimed role in Trăng nơi đáy giếng (The Moon at the Bottom of the Well).
The awards of best actors were presented to Truong Minh Quoc Thai for the film Tâm hồn mẹ (Mother’s Seoul) and Dinh Toan for the film Khát vọng Thăng Long (Thang Long aspiration).
The organizing board handed out two other awards for the film Tâm hồn mẹ (Mother’s Seoul) directed by Nhue Giang: best Vietnamese film and most voted by audiences.
The film Lửa Phật (Buddha’s Fire) received most voted award by members of jury.
The film Chuyện Làng Then (The Story of Then Village) was recognized as the best film in the category of documentary film.
