Hanoi’s Mayor requests no increase in service prices amid Trump-Kim summit
The Hanoi leader also asked the people to enthusiastically guide and help journalists and international visitors.
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has issued a directive calling on people to improve their responsibility and hospitality during the time of the second US – North Korea summit (February 27-28).
Chung said that this is a good opportunity to introduce with the world about culture, development, image and people of Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular. Thus, he asked the functional agencies to ensure sanitation, security, urban order, traffic safety in the coming days.
Chung also called on people to strictly abide by s law, ensure security and order and dress properly.
The Hanoi leader also asked the people to enthusiastically guide and help journalists and international visitors. The merchants should redecorate their house and should not irrationally raise the prices of their service and goods during the summit.
Chung stressed that the above-mentioned contents aim to regulate Hanoi people’s cultural behavior, toward becoming civilized, elegant, friendly and hospitable in the eyes of international press and friends.
North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump on February 26 arrived in Hanoi to attend the summit on February 27-28. The two leaders expected to discuss improving relations between Washington and Pyongyang, establishing long-term peace on the Korean peninsula, denuclearizing and repatriating remains of soldiers killedin the Korean war.
