Hanoi to enhance cooperation to develop modern agricultural product supply centers
The Hanoi People’s Committee Office has just issued Official Letter No. 2794/VP-KT on asking relevant departments, sectors to implement conclusions of leaders of the Municipal People’s Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Under the Official Letter, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam co-chaired a working session on April 17, 2018 on developing agricultural product wholesales in Hanoi in line with the Project on developing modern agricultural product supply centers for the 2018-2020 period with orientation to 2030 and so on.
On basis of the conclusion of the Municipal Chairman and the Minister at the working session, the Hanoi People’s Committee Office asked the Department of Industry and Trade to proactively coordinate with the Coordination Office on New Rural Development to ask the Municipal People’s Committee for permission to participate in the project as recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Hanoi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre is in charge of taking prime responsibility and coordinating with the Municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Agro-product Processing and Market Development and authorized agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to give a report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to make a plan on organizing the Vietnam Agricultural Product Week 2018 at Rungis wholesale market so as to promote tourism, culture, cuisine of Vietnam in France.
In addition, the Municipal Coordination Office on New Rural Development in collaboration with the Department of Agro-product Processing and Market Development and authorized agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will assist the city’s units in carrying out the above contents to ensure the schedule and efficiency.
